One Last Thing
What’s the future of Cheyenne’s former historic airport terminal? That’s the question Arts Cheyenne staff and Cheyenne Regional Airport Board Manager pondered in 2022 and decided to apply for a NEA Our Town Grant…and got it! The $50,000 design grant is intended to support design planning for the redevelopment of the former airport building into an arts and culture community center. The Arts & Aviation Center Project will host an open house on Saturday, September 9th as an opportunity to engage Cheyenne citizens on ideas for the future of the terminal while learning about Cheyenne’s rich aviation history. The open house will also celebrate the completion of historic airport fountain restoration and will have food trucks, terminal tours and more!
