1st Annual Angelina’s Dream Foundation Car Show | 10:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. | Frontier Park, 1312 W 8th Ave | Free to attend | The first annual event will feature live music, face painting, food trucks and more! Hosted by RISE Foundation of Wyoming, the 5k is a way to come together as a community to support our veterans, military members and their families.

End Of Summer Brawl | 4:30 p.m. | BEAST Foundation, 2900 Sunflower Rd | $10-$15 | Southern Xtreme Professional Wrestling returns to Cheyenne for a night of action-packed pro-wrestling. Don’t miss these larger-than-life athletes as they fly through the air, jump off the top ropes and go for the pin.

Sunday, Aug 27th

STEM Van Tour | 3:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m. | Lions Park | Free to attend | Take the family and check out the new Girl Scout’s of Wyoming and Montana’s new STEM Van. The van is equipped with fun tech including 3D printers, drones and microscopes and kids will be able to participate in hands-on STEM (science, technology, engineering, and math) activities.

🥨 Plan Ahead: The 2023 Downtown Cheyenne Oktoberfest will return to the Depot Plaza on September 23rd from 12:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. The celebration will feature Oktoberfest seasonal beers from Sierra Nevada Brewing and Prost Brewing Company, live music from Rush Archives, a costume contest, stein hoisting competition and plenty more! 🏪 Consideration: An ordinance to ban single-use carryout plastic bags in Cheyenne will be considered by the city council.

🏒 Winter Sports:Three programs will be offered at the Cheyenne Ice & Events Center this October through March, including learning to skate and hockey.

🚧 Caution: Harmful algae has been discovered within Cheyenne’s Sloan’s Lake.

🍫 Revisit A resolution was passed by the Cheyenne City Council encouraging other municipalities to put pressure on the Wyoming Legislature to decriminalize marijuana.

🌧️ Coming Down: Cheyenne has received more than 17 inches of rain; wetter than Seattle so far this year.

🏠 Upward: Financial literacy and a first-time homeownership program will be offered for women by Cheyenne’s My Front Door.

One Last Thing

Wyoming’s largest FREE outdoor music festival, Edge Fest takes place annually in August as a way to highlight the potential of the West Edge district in downtown Cheyenne. The year’s Edge Fest will take place this Saturday, August 26th and will feature headliner ZZ Ward with special guests Devon Cole, Lauren Ruth Ward and Emmy Meli.
